Full Surrender

You are holding me down

I fight against You

My tongue is bound

I can’t see in front of me

I can barely hear a sound

Surrender, full surrender

Until my will is broken beyond repair

And He says “Stay and tarry with Me here.

There’s no room for self-pity

No need for sympathy

It is the King who holds you captive

The worthy One holds the key”

Now where once I saw a dungeon

With surrender, full surrender

I see a life so sweet

“In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
