Something New

I see a new beginning

But the old is still passing away

I see a future with You

But still stand by this grave

I’ll take your hand towards this new life

And trust your teaching each day

Thank You for the sorrow and the joy

That averted my eyes your way

“But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19

Your Spirit is my fuel

Your grace is my strength

You’ve poured out your wisdom

To reorder all I think

Strongholds

Destroy every stronghold

Every lofty thing

That stands in the way

Of serving thy King

No tower is too great

No wall is too tall

To succumb to Your might

To obey Your call

The lord of darkness preys

But the Lord of creation saves

And He stands above them all
